ANGIE KIM

MIRACLE CREEK by angie kim (fiction) this courtroom thriller/family drama is just WOW + switching POVs from victims to accused—everyone with something to hide, all bearing some degree of guilt—keeps the propulsive pace throughout + suspicion is cast wide, and the lines are blurry between guilt & innocence + these characters are so well-drawn, with their utter human-ness, mixed emotions, motivations—and kim slices your heart wide open in showing the lengths to which a parent will go for their child + this book is so smart and perfectly heart-breaking; it is unputdownable and unforgettable =👍🏻❤️

“But that was the way life worked. Every human being was the result of a million different factors mixing together...Good things and bad—every friendship and romance formed, every accident, every illness—resulted from the conspiracy of hundreds of little things, in and of themselves inconsequential.”
